Michael Bleu

bleu serenade.jpg

Michael has been creating his work for as long as he can remember. A descendent of a long line of artists, art has always been a part of his life. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, his interest emerged as he watched his father create woodcarvings that can now be found in museums and auctions worldwide. In addition to creating his own art, Michael has spent decades mastering the art foundry process, including all aspects of the production of bronze casting. Combining his family history with professional training, he works in multiple genres and media. His work is now held in private collections and is represented in galleries and other venues.

Michael has a unique drive to continue learning, developing, and finding inspiration with a passion that grows with each piece he creates. In his words, "it is vital not just to grow as a person through art, but grow your art through the person it helps you become".

Michael has been working in stone, clay, oil, acrylic and charcoal for most of his life and hopes to sell his work to private and commercial collectors and exhibit in group shows. He feels fortunate that his exposure to art, his natural ability, and his ability to submerge himself in all aspects of artistic creation will enable him to be remembered as his father and family members have before him. He believes that "art is what influences a culture and we fingerprint our time on earth by what we create..."
